1 Notice: This tutorial has been created with Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander). Older versions may distinguish from the tutorial.
Open the network menu, go to "VPN Connections" and click on "Configure VPN...".
2 Click on "Add".
3 Choose "Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)" and click on "Create".
4 Click on "Create".
5 Take over the settings from the screenshot and Select a server in the members area and put the server address as "Gateway". Enter your hide.me login credentials at "Account" and "Password" and click on "Advanced...".
6 Take over the settings from the screenshot, click on "OK" and then on "Save...".
7 Open the network menu to establish a VPN connection.
8 If connection has been successfully established, the status is shown in the menu bar. You can manage your VPN connection in the network settings.
Review your connection
Go to vpn.express/checkmyip to see if your connection is now using our VPN server.
